With
30 months of operations SooryaKiran was successful in
getting a handful of elite clients. Our first and noteworthy
contract project GEN-SNiP, which we developed for Argus
Biosciences, USA, was cited in the well known Bioinformatics
journal "Insilico Biology" and other renowned scientific
journals. Our flagship project "Genome Designer" is
in its second phase of development. SooryaKiran is executing
it in collaboration with Synthetic Genomics Team, RIKEN
Institute, Yokahama, Japan. Our expertise in mtDNA area
had fetched us "Mitologia", a complete suite for mtDNA
analysis. We are developing it for another US client.
Our products range include the handy "Biolets" and "CGRex", which we developed in association
with Centre for Bioinformatics, University of Kerala. We have a very strong upcoming product line
which starts from "BioPad" which is a crispy bioinformatics work bench to "Se2Si", a specialized tool to
convert genomics sequence to signals.
From the phase of conceptualization itself, SooryaKiran was a favorite of print media.
Leading dailies The Hindu, Malayala Manorama and Mathurbhoomi had carried our ideas and visions
on their pages. We were also the cover story of the September 2007 edition of "VyavasayaKeralam".
Leading IT magazine "Infokairali" had also carried an article on us.
During initial days of our operations, SooryaKiran had a organized wide variety of seminars in Bioinformatics
and in other cutting edge areas like computer aided drug designing, RNAi and Microarray informatics. SooryaKiran
had also cosponsored "Bioinformatica Indica 08", a premiere international symposium on Bioinformatics organized by
its alma mater Centre for Bioinformatics.
While emerging as a successful endeavor, we wish to
be a socially responsible enterprise contributing something
back to the society. We had made our step to this goal
by supporting a financially challenged scholar at Centre
for Bioinformatics by sponsoring a book scholarship.
